More and more, I am finding that people my age have trouble focusing on both audio and video for more than a few moments.
Personally, I have stopped watching most TV shows actively – they stay behind my other windows, and only draw my attention when I hear something interesting. Most of my friends watch TV this way. I watched about 5 total minutes of Terminator – The Sarah Connor Chronicles this episode, but I listened to the whole thing and still felt “engaged.”
Is this a symptom of information overload? or are we just learning to pick and choose better?
